Paderno was acquired by Canadian Tire in 2017 with the goal of becoming a top-tier kitchen brand, competing with leaders like KitchenAid, Breville, All-Clad, and Vitamix.

In just eight years, we grew the brand from $5M to over $50M in sales. We achieved growth in a category where many premium brands have seen declines.

Vida by Paderno was created to target the “better-level” kitchen segment against brands like Cuisinart, Black & Decker, and Ninja. As design lead, I drove product development and partnered with cross functional teams to balance innovation, performance, and affordability.

In just five years, the brand grew to nearly $50M in annual sales, becoming a strong competitor in a crowded market.

In 2014, Canadian Tire undertook a full refresh of Yardworks, a long-established brand in need of modernization. As design lead, I guided the development of a cleaner, more contemporary look that resonated with customers and drove a significant lift in sales.

It’s not everyday that you get to translate one of the most recognized sports trophies into a functional eye catching product. The result created a fan-focused product that stood out at retail.

At Joseph Mimran and Associates we designed the complete line of kitchen products for Loblaws’ PC at Home line. Working on that brand allowed me to combine my love of baking with design to launch some eye catching products that reached the cover of a national magazine and a national TV campaign.

Even the best design has little value if it can’t be manufactured at the right cost, meets the customer’s expectations for quality and is delivered on time.
